The Victorian facade of this family home was refurbished as was the front reception room. A major excavation to the rear allowed for a contemporary open plan kitchen, dining and living area as well as a generous basement leisure and reading space. Upstairs, en-suite bedrooms were designed with skylights and panoramic windows. Full-height sliding glass doors on the ground floor open the view to the beautifully landscaped garden. Wherever possible the 19th century building materials were reused, reclaimed brick as an acoustic wall, floorboards and joist as shelving in the wine cellar.
