With the conclusion of the 2012 Olympic Games, the East Village is undergoing a comprehensive fit-out. A number of retail units are currently provided but the small size precludes their occupation by a number of key uses required to serve local residents. Whilst the retail components of the remaining plots will in time provide these services, the provision of a temporary facility on plot N16 serves the existing blocks and act as a platform for local services and activities until the development reaches completion in 2020.
