James graduated with a degree in photography from the London College of Printing in 1997 and has since been working as a freelance photographer for a wide variety of clients and publications.
James has had his work published in numerous magazines and journals including; Blueprint, Building Magazine, Elle, Elle Decoration, The Guardian (Weekend magazine), The Independent Saturday magazine and Sunday Review, Interior Design Magazine (New York), RIBA Journal and Timeout Guides.
