In 2011, the new campus of Flanders Business School opened in a radically restored listed 19th century building in the centre of Antwerp. In designing a headquarters for the Business School, BURO II & ARCHI+I (in conjunction with BURO Interior and Architectenbureau De Vloed) had to respect the original fabric of the building, including listed interiors, while installing an auditorium, cafe, tutorial rooms and offices. The result is striking: at its heart is an egg-shaped auditorium placed in the old ballroom.
