The Brookfield Youth & Community Centre is a community centre with a particular focus on working with young people. Situated in West Tallaght, BY&CC was designed and built based on the recommendations of a report written called A place to chill Informing Youth Centre Development in West-Tallaght, Dublin. The centre was awarded the 2008 Architecture Associations premier award, The Downes Medal, for excellence in Architecture & Design and was also highly commended in the RIAI Awards 2008. (Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland).
