36 Carnaby Street and Carnaby Court are the most significant new buildings to be constructed in Carnaby Street for many years. The conceptual design was driven very much from the desire to achieve a crisp response which reflects the rich historical context of the streetscape whilst retailing its own integrity. The primary street facades featured a careful use of brick, glazed brick and glass mosaic– colour and texture being particularly important component parts to the whole. On completion the building was shortlisted as a top six entry to the National Brick Awards.
