Designed to impress and amaze visitors, Kedleston was built between 1759 and 1765 for the Curzon family, who have lived in the area since the 12th century. Experience the most complete and least-altered sequence of Robert Adam interiors in England, with magnificent State Rooms and a fine collection of paintings and sculpture. The Eastern Museum is full of fascinating objects collected by Lord Curzon when he was Viceroy of India (1899-1905). Four different walks allow you to explore the 330 hectares (820 acres) of historic parkland, with a beautiful series of lakes and cascades.
