Sally-Ann Norman

Sally Ann Norman studied photography for four years at Plymouth College of Art. In 1991, after graduating with a distinction she set up as an architectural photographer in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Since then, she has been supplying architectural and location photography to the design, construction and publishing industries nationwide.

In 1997, she documented the Angel of the North in construction and that led onto other projects documenting construction projects. The most recent of which was the infamous Gateshead Car Park featured in “Get Carter” and the art deco Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle, the oldest existing newsreel cinema in Europe. Both of these projects will be exhibited in 2008/9.

Besides documentary work, Sally shoots commercial work for architects, marketing agencies, construction companies and development companies. Recent clients include Anshen + Allen, Bovis, Laing O’Rourke, Tesco Stores, Porsche UK and Building Magazine.
