Peter Cook

Peter has been shooting architecture since 1982 and being well established in this field, has built a comprehensive portfolio of work. Working from a minimum brief, he aims to present each project in a fresh and strong form

Peter believes that some designs deserve a different approach than others, and finds that using light, shape and texture to achieve a result that complements the original design and concept is the most satisfying photographic result.

He enjoys working with new practices and helps them to get their work published in magazines alongside more well known architects and designers. His work has been published widely in publications such as House & Garden, Abitare, Domus, Architectural Review, Architects’ Journal, Frame, Wallpaper and Conde Nast Traveller.

Commissioning photography is the final phase of the building project and the presentation of the photographs to future clients is often the key to an architectural practice’s success. It is here that Peter likes to be able, through his work to play a part.

Peter works mainly to commission for architects. His clients include Richard Rogers Partnership, John McAslan & Partners, ORMS, Bennetts Associates, HOK International, Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners and Eva Jiricna Architects.
